We currently plan on creating two machines, called the Shredder and the Extruder to help break down and reform plastic into usable plastic. Learn about them below!
The Shredder
This one’s pretty straightforward. The Shredder uses it’s spinning blades to shred used plastic into small pieces. These pieces are the raw material that we’ll use in the rest of the machines, the material that can be melted and molded into virtually anything!
The Extruder
The Extruder first melts down the shredded plastic and then extrudes them(Wow, who would’ve guessed?) as long lines of plastic. This can be used to create a variety of things, ranging from 3D printer filament, pottery, and even woven hats! Small molds can be attached to the end, so even non-tubular creations can be made.
